So, I've finally broke and bought my longest wish listed album on Bandcamp. Released in 2004. Sludge filled with bile and hatred.

"A heavy, chugging, post-hardcore romp through the swamp. An epic atmosphere and a layer of filth to bury you under a solid molasses-soaked slab of heavy. Slow, heavy and painful... like a steamroller over children. The viscous qualities of sludge and the ambience of doom with riffs low-hanging and the vocals scraping gravel as they growl and gurgle along. Melodies clang like bells for the dead and the doomed."

Clamorous and insistent, Grievous proceeds at low speeds. But what the band lacks in promptness, they make up with a high decibel of power via a mountain of amplification, thunderous percussion, twisted samples, effective stage-lighting and past musical experience. Actively hostile, the band performs one hell of an aggressive sales campaign, leaving fans inclined toward intensive auditory treatment. Triumphs of minimalism, reducing rock to its most elemental appeal, Grievous forces the listener through dark images of sorrow, loneliness and the pain of suffering. The bands live energy, intense power, simple changes and sheer volume provide the audience with more than enough ammunition. This heavy group is pervasive, proving that low tones at high decible cause a widespread expression of unrest and emotion: breaking down thought, pounding away at the soul, grinding assumptions into powder. Emphatic, impressive, and urgent, Grievous; gaudy as a turbulent, blustering storm... clawing in from the cold North.
