about

"A tight, professional unity, with a strong emphasis on a filthy down-tuned mood. The vocals are strong, brilliant, consistently angry... incredible sense of dread they produce musically. 'Erebus' seethes and boils underneath... a world which appears perfect and pristine, but secretly writhes in agony, dirty, unclean, dark and unforgiving. Pulsing, pounding, annihilating, attacking with honesty. Eerie, disturbing and heavy. 'Erebis' drives like a 62 Chrysler 500 with 6 holes in the muffler, doing 45 on a dusty desert road. Blues-driven riffs with vocals that emit like curdling caustic fumes from the forgotten bogs of the dark lands with the slowest blast beats I've ever heard."

>>>Ernest Shackleton was 33-years-old when he led his first expedition to Antarctica, determined to be the first to reach the Geographic South Pole. His ship, Nimrod, departed England in August 1907, sailing via New Zealand before anchoring at Cape Royds in early 1908. The expedition recorded many firsts, including climbing the world’s southernmost volcano, *Mt Erebus.

Clamorous and insistent, Grievous proceeds at low speeds. But what the band lacks in promptness, they make up with a high decibel of power via a mountain of amplification, thunderous percussion, twisted samples, effective stage-lighting and past musical experience. Actively hostile, the band performs one hell of an aggressive sales campaign, leaving fans inclined toward intensive auditory treatment. Triumphs of minimalism, reducing rock to its most elemental appeal, Grievous forces the listener through dark images of sorrow, loneliness and the pain of suffering. The bands live energy, intense power, simple changes and sheer volume provide the audience with more than enough ammunition. This heavy group is pervasive, proving that low tones at high decible cause a widespread expression of unrest and emotion: breaking down thought, pounding away at the soul, grinding assumptions into powder. Emphatic, impressive, and urgent, Grievous; gaudy as a turbulent, blustering storm... clawing in from the cold North.
